
4.1 Initial Cleaning
Remove all accessories and removable
shelf supports from the appliance.
Refer to "Care and cleaning"
chapter.
Clean the appliance and the accessories
before first use.
Put the accessories and the removable
shelf supports back to their initial
position.
4.2 Preheating
Preheat the empty appliance to burn off
the remaining grease.
1. Set the function and the maximum
temperature.
2. Let the appliance operate for 1 hour.
3. Set the function and set the
maximum temperature.
4. Let the appliance operate for 15
minutes.
5. Set the function and set the
maximum temperature.
6. Let the appliance operate for 15
minutes.
Accessories can become hotter than
usual. The appliance can emit an odour
and smoke. This is normal. Make sure
that the airflow in the room is sufficient.

5.1 Minute minder
The minute minder deactivates the
cooking zones after a set amount of time.
The maximum time you can set is 120
minutes.
The cooking zones do not
operate if you do not set the
minute minder.
Turn the knob for the timer as far as it
goes, then turn it back to the necessary
time period.
After the set time, the electricity is cut off
to all cooking zones.
If you want to operate the hob for a
longer time, you have to set the timer
again.

Use the residual heat to
decrease energy
consumption. Deactivate the
cooking zone approximately
5 - 10 minutes before the
cooking process is

5.3 Activating and deactivating
the outer rings
You can adjust the surface you cook to
the dimension of the cookware.
To activate the outer ring: turn the
knob clockwise through a light resistance
to
. Then turn the knob
counterclockwise to the correct heat
setting.
To deactivate the outer ring: turn the
knob to the off position. The indicator
goes out.
