Maintenance
Unplug the appliance before performing
any maintenance and cleaning tasks.
Caution
This appliance contains hydrocarbons in
the refrigeration circuit; the latter should
therefore only be serviced and recharged
by a qualified professional.
Never use abrasive or caustic cleansers,
or scraping pads to clean the interior and
the exterior of your appliance.
Do not touch icy surfaces and frozen
foods with wet or damp hands and
do not eat certain foods such as ice
lollies as soon as you remove them
from the freezer compartment, as the
very low temperature at which they
were stored could cause frostbite or
tearing of the skin. Defrosted foods
must be eaten as soon as possible
and never be refrozen, except if it has
been cooked on thawing.
Making ice cubes
Ice cubes are made in the freezer
compartment.
Take out the ice cube tray. Fill it with water
up to the level indicated. Reposition it in its
original position. To tip the ice cubes into the
tank, turn the knob. Then fill the trays up with
water again.
If your water is especially rich in mineral salts
(especially limescale), fill the trays with still
mineral water.
We advise you to make new ice cubes on a
regular basis.
Never detach the ice trays with a
knife or other sharp object, as this
could cause irreparable damage to
the evaporator.
Maintenance and cleaning
Defrosting
Your appliance is completely free of ice on
the interior walls thanks to the VENTILATED
COOLING.
This process consists of circulating cold dry
air throughout the compartments thanks to
a turbine, which eliminates the need for any
defrosting.
The appliance is therefore automatically
defrosted. The defrosted water is drained in
a tray at the rear of the appliance, where it
evaporates. Wipe it with a damp sponge on a
regular basis.
Cleaning
Only clean the appliance after you
have unplugged it.
Never use steam jets to clean the
appliance. The moisture could
penetrate the electrical components
and the hot steam could damage the
original parts.
It is vital that you keep your appliance
thoroughly clean.
Never use abrasive or caustic
cleansers, or scraping pads to clean
the interior and the exterior of your
appliance.
Also avoid using alcohol or detergents
containing alcohol: this could cause
irreparable damage to the coating of your
appliance and in particular to the plastic parts
(appliance interior, handle, etc.).
